Community Rules & Terms of Use

Italy Lions is a family-friendly community space for Sri Lankans living in Italy. These rules protect every member. By joining, you agree to them.

1. What is Not Allowed

• No vulgar or offensive language. Keep the community family-friendly and respectful.
• No false information. Do not post fake business claims, fake reviews, fake job offers or fraudulent rentals.
• No scams or money fraud. Anyone attempting to cheat others financially will be permanently banned and reported to authorities.
• No sexual content or interactions. This is not a dating platform. Any sexual advances, harassment, or explicit content = instant ban.
• No bullying, threats, or hate speech. Racism, casteism, religious abuse, or any form of discrimination is not tolerated.
• No spam or repeated boost abuse. Promotional posts must follow boost guidelines.
• No piracy or illegal content. Do not share pirated movies, software, or illegal services.

2. Account Rules

• You must be 18+ to create a profile.
• Use your real name (personal) or real business name.
• Only one personal account per person. Businesses may have one business profile per business.
• Do not impersonate others.
• You are responsible for your account's activity.

3. Content You Post

• You own the content you post, but you give Italy Lions permission to display and promote it on the platform.
• Do not post copyrighted content without permission.
• We may remove any post that breaks these rules without notice.

4. Business Listings & Boosts

• Business listings must be real, legal, and accurate.
• Boosted posts (paid promotion, from €3) must still follow all community rules.
• Reviews from customers should be honest. Fake positive or negative reviews will be removed.
• We reserve the right to refuse any business listing at our discretion.

5. Jobs & Rentals

• Job offers must be genuine and legal under Italian law.
• Rental listings must not discriminate illegally.
• Do not pay money or transfer documents before meeting a landlord or employer in person.
• Italy Lions is not a party to any transaction. We are a listing platform only.

6. Privacy

• We store only the information you provide (name, email, city, profile details).
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.
• You can request account deletion at any time.
• Cookies are used to keep you logged in and to improve your experience.

7. Payments

• Boost posts and Pro Business subscriptions are charged via secure payment provider.
• Refunds on boosts are not given once the boost starts running.
• Pro subscriptions can be cancelled any time — you keep benefits till period ends.

8. Reporting Violations

If you see content that breaks these rules, report it using the "Report" button on any post, or email report@italylions.com. All reports are confidential.

9. Disclaimer

Italy Lions is an independent community platform. We are not affiliated with the Government of Italy or the Government of Sri Lanka. Content posted by users represents their own views, not those of Italy Lions.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these rules from time to time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated rules. The last update was on April 17, 2026.
